Zip-a-dee-do-da bag

 FINAL DESIGN: CONTAIN YOUR MAGIC

Inspired by Splash Mountain, I developed this Zip-a-Dee-Do-Da Bag taking the needs of Disney guests in mind. The shape of the bag was inspired by the shadow of the ride- the tree trunk at the top and the tangled thrones at the base.

The target market of the bag includes upper middle class avid Disney goers who are women between 18 to 25 with older or no children (so that they don't have to carry child care equipments). In a survey I conducted, these people typically bring with them a small to medium sized purse containing phone/ camera, wallet, and water. Quite a few of them also bring makeup, extra layer, sunscreen, and snacks.

The tangled thrones on the bag are made out of rubber material. The user can secure their small objects in the tangled thrones by inserting them between the rubber bands. This will come in handy for when the user needs to free their hands temporarily while holding for example, their phone.

The blue "wave" behind the thrones is a small compartment for smaller objects. And the bag also comes with its own themed matching water bottle in the shape of a water drop (Inspired by the fact that it is a water ride). Since water fountains are abundant throughout the theme park, a big water bottle is unnecessary.

Lastly, but not least, the zipper is inspired by the roof design of the water mill house at the base of the mountain.

What makes this bag special?

- Disney- inspired design with details and a story behind every design choice helps enhance theme park experience

- Straying from the abundant Mickey and friends, princesses based designs

- Separate easy to access ticket pouch

- Small enough to not be bulky but big enough to fit a light rain jacket

- Pocket in the back can hold ears

- Easily accessible front and back pockets

- Stretchy branches in the front can help hold things for speedy access

- Matching small water bottle

-The bag will give the users a very Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah day.
