WISHING ORBS

For this challenge, I designed and produced a 3D Printed functional prototype of the wishing orb. The actual model would be water resistant.

Materials include toy sound module, PLA, aluminum, and glitter glue.

The "wishing orbs" serve as the a decoration in the fountain and also a tool to facilitate communication of ideas.

 

The inspiration of these wishing orbs stemmed from online "confessions" forums of different colleges. To "make a wish" or share an idea, guests simply pick up a wishing orb and press down on the star button and leave a message after the beep. To listen, guests should make sure that the orb is on the right mode (modes can be adjusted with the switch) before pressing the star button once.
